Massoud Ahmadi leads SIA’s economics practice, bringing years of technical depth and expertise in developing systematic, strategic cost saving methods for measuring economic impact of policy initiatives.

Before SIA, Massoud spent 29 years supporting the State of Maryland’s economic development as a distinguished senior economist for key state agencies. Comfortable working at both macro and micro levels, he has developed award-winning economic models, strategic plans, cost-benefit applications and financial optimization models. He began his career in academia, teaching the fundamentals of domestic and international economic policy at American University in Washington, DC, the Inter-American Development Bank and the Institute of European Studies in Brussels, Belgium.

Massoud holds a PhD in economics with concentrations in public finance and international development from American University.
